Spark Entrepreneurship Summer Institute
Let Your Ideas Spark!
Become an entrepreneur! This residential program is designed for entrepreneurially-minded young women. Participants will tap into their creativity and unlock a new level of confidence as they develop critical soft skills such as empathy, curiosity, and problem solving. Participants will learn about entrepreneurship competencies, such as creating a vision, asking questions, communicating, and selling ideas.
This program will give participants an opportunity to develop their own business plan and have hands-on experience creating products using the Spark lab facilities and equipment. They will experience life on a college campus, develop valuable pre-college academic skills, and work with outstanding Saint Mary's student mentors who will guide and support them as they navigate this summer learning experience.
The weeklong residential program will lead to a pitch competition, where students utilize the skills they obtained by pitching a product or service to a faculty panel. Participants will receive valuable feedback and leave feeling empowered to pursue their business goals.
