Frequently Asked Questions 

There are many questions that come up while planning your wedding ceremony.  Therefore, we have included some frequently asked questions to help with the planning process.

Who may celebrate their marriage at Saint Mary's College? 

Alumnae and current students are allowed to get married on campus. Since only Catholic weddings are celebrated in our chapels, at least one person of the couple (the bride or the groom) must be Catholic.


When can we start making our wedding reservations?

You may make a reservation for your wedding two years in advance by phone, email, or by coming to campus. You can make reservations by calling 574-284-5391 or by filling out our interest form


Can weddings be scheduled on a Friday?

No, all weddings at Saint Mary's College are celebrated on Saturdays only. 


Where are weddings celebrated at Saint Mary's College?

Couples may schedule their wedding in Regina Chapel (Regina Hall), Holy Spirit Chapel (LeMans Hall), or the Church of Our Lady of Loretto. 


What does Saint Mary's College provide for weddings?

Campus Ministry and the Campus and Community Events office will work with you in preparing for your wedding at the College.  The College will provide all the paperwork you will need to complete in order to have a Catholic wedding.  We provide the chapel/church and the supplies needed for the wedding ceremony.  Finally, a wedding coordinator will be provided to assist you at the wedding rehearsal and at the wedding ceremony.   


What is the cost of your Saint Mary's College Wedding?

The cost to have your wedding in Church of Our Lady of Loretto or Holy Spirit Chapel is $1,100.00 (+ 7% tax).  We will provide you with a contract to be signed and upon return to our office we will ask that you attach a 75% deposit ($825.00).  You are also welcome to pay in full at this time.  Otherwise,  you will receive the final invoice following your wedding with the remaining amount.
