Belles Finish Fourth at MIAA Jamboree

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Saint Mary's College cross country team finished in fourth place at the MIAA Jamboree on Saturday morning with a team score of 133.

Megan McClowry continued to lead the Belles as she was the team's top finisher with a 19:39 to finish 20th.  Freshman Julia Kenney improved upon her time from last week to finish second for Saint Mary's in 19:44 for 22nd place.

Joanne Almond was the next Saint Mary's harrier to cross the finish line on Saturday with a 20:10 time (26th).  Catie Salyer finished 31st with a time of 20:21 while Sam Wieczorek finished 34th with a 20:30 on Saturday to round out the top five Saint Mary's finishers.

Angela Nebesny and Clare McVey both finished in 20:33 to finish 35th and 36th for the Belles, respectively.

Calvin, who is ranked second in all of Division III, took top honors at the MIAA Jamboree with a perfect team score of 15.

The Belles will travel to Terre Haute, Ind., next weekend as they compete in the Gibson Family Collegiate Invitiational at Rose-Hulman on Saturday.
