SMC at MIAA Jamboree 2
Olivet Edges Belles by Four Strokes at MIAA Jamboree
HOLLAND, Mich. - The nationally ranked Saint Mary's College golf team was edged out by Olivet, another nationally ranked program, by four strokes at the second MIAA Jamboree on Wednesday.
The Comets finished first at the jamboree with a 318 while the Belles finished with a 322. Host Hope rounded out the top three with a 335. Olivet's Megan Rimmel took medalist honors with a 75 on the day.
Martyna Mierzwa and Natalie Matuszak paced the Belles on Wednesday. The pair both shot a 79 to tie for second place. Rosie O'Connor, meanwhile, had an 81 on the day for a share of fifth place.
Mary Kate Boyce shot an 83 (t-10th) and Perri Hamma had an 86 to round out the top five for the Belles.
Saint Mary's will next compete at the DePauw University Small College Classic this upcoming Saturday and Sunday.
