Belles Finish Second at MIAA Jamboree


MARSHALL, Mich. - The fifth-ranked Saint Mary's golf team finished second at the MIAA Jamboree hosted by Olivet on Wednesday afternoon.

The host Comets took first place with a 341 while the Belles shot a 343.  Hope challenged for second but finished two strokes behind Saint Mary's.  Olivet's Amber Conrad took home medalist honors at the event with the lone sub-80 score of the day, shooting a 79.

Mary Kate Boyce finished second overall to lead Saint Mary's with an 80 on Wednesday.  Marin Beagley was a pair strokes with an 82 to take fourth place.  Doyle O'Brien turned in the third-lowest score for the Belles with an 88 (t-9th).  Rosie O'Connor wrapped up the scoring golfers for Saint Mary's with a 93 (t-26th).  Paige Pollak, meanwhile, was the fifth scoring-eligible golfer and carded a 100 (36th).

Hayley Miller, Jessica Kinnick, and Megan Ryan all played as individuals, shooting 89, 90, and 93, respectively.

The Belles will look to build a lead at the final MIAA Jamboree of the season at Adrian on Saturday.
