Dominican University Social Work Information Session

Location: CWIL Video Conference Room, 136 Spes Unica

Passionate about social work?  Want to earn your Master of Social Work?  Dominican University's Graduate School of Social Work offers an MSW with certification in Gerontology, Military Social Work, and School Social Work.  They also offer full time and part time scheduling, scholarships and national and international field placements.  Come to an information session and learn more about their programs?

Summer Indiana Internship Grants

These competitve grants are for students participating in unpaid internships anywhere in the state of Indiana. Grants are for up to $3000.  Students must be rising juniors or seniors. Graduating seniors are ineligible.

Diverse Students' Leadership Conference Alumnae Panel

Alumnae from different professions and fields will discuss important issues of race, gender, and diversity in the workforce.  They will share their stories of career successes and challenges as well as provide suggestions to students on navigating careers after Saint Mary's.

The Haitian Project

Representativs from The Haitian Project will be available for inquiries in Geddes Hall, 4-6 PM on Monday, April 14th--information session to follow at 6PM. The Haitian Project through Louverture Cleary School, educates and nurtures academically talented and motivated students from Haitian families who cannot afford the cost of their children's education in order to maximize their potential and enable them to workd toward building a Haiti where justice and peace thrive.

The Haitian project seeks educators at its Louverture Cleary School, a Catholic, coeducational secondary boarding school just ouside of Port au Prince, Haiti, for a 10-month commitment from mid-August to mid-June. In addition to teaching and living in community, THP members work to strenthen LCS's community service and empowerment programs. For more information on The Haiti Project, please click here.

We will specifically explore networking, your online presence, resumes, cover letters, the top five skills every employer wants, where to find opportunitities, and more. Even if you already have your plans secured for next year, these tips will help you on your next adventure.
