Requesting a Book from interlibrary loan: Fill out the form below as completely as possible

Requesting a Book Chapter or Essay from a book: Under certain conditions specified in the copyright law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction which may not  be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." These guidelines allow one copy of a chapter from a book,  a short essay, or a short poem  if the article, story or essay is less than 2,500 words or an excerpt from any prose work of no more that 1,000 words or 10% of the work, whichever is less. If your request exceeds these guidelines, you should request the entire book.
