Interlibrary Loan services are available to the Sisters of the Holy Cross with a valid Cushwa-Leighton Library card.
Most materials may be renewed online using the account number from your library card at "My Account" for another loan period unless another person has requested them. Overdue reminders are sent primarily via e-mail.
All circulating materials, with the exception of course reserve materials, are subject to being recalled for use by another patron if they have been in circulation a certain length of time. A recall may be issued for books after they have been in circulation for a minimum of 7 days.
It is your responsibility to return library materials on time. Library materials that are not returned or renewed by the due date are subject to overdue notices and service charges. Overdue reminders will be sent primarily via e-mail. Bills will be sent primarily via snail-mail. Failure to receive overdue reminders does not exempt you from the due date.
Items not returned after 30 days from the due date will be presumed lost. A lost book fee of $60.00 will be automatically assessed. This charge includes a $40.00 book replacement fee* and a $20.00 processing fee.
A detailed bill will be sent to Sister of the Holy Cross with the expectation that prompt payment will be made for the replacement of lost materials. Checks should be made to "Saint Mary's College" and sent to the library director for processing. Unpaid library charges may result in patron borrowing privileges being restricted until the matter is resolved. Patrons with material found and returned to the Library within in one year after it has been billed will have the replacement fee refunded.
Questions about this policy should be directed to the Collection Management Supervisor.
