Bachelor of Arts, Global Studies—GLST (27 hours)

The following 15 hours are required in addition to the International Development Concentration requirements (below).

  • ANTH 253 Survey I: Culture and Language 3 hours
  • ECON 251 Principles of Macroeconomics 3 hours
  • HIST 104 World Civilization II 3 hours
  • POSC 206 International Politics 3 hours
  • or POSC 207 Comparative Politics 3 hours
  • GLST 495 Senior Seminar in Global Studies 3 hours

International Development Concentration (12 hours)

All of the following:

  • ECON 354* Economic Development 3 hours 
    or POSC 319 The Global Politics of International Development 3 hours 
  • HIST 384 Africa Since 1800 3 hours

Two of the following (at least 6 hours):

  • BUAD 447 International Business Law 3 hours
  • COMM 350 Intercultural Communication 3 hours

  • ENLT 366 Postcolonial Women’s Writing 3 hours

  • MODL 315 English and the World 3 hours
  • POSC 304 Latin American Politics 3 hours
