Biography

Professor Kaminski joined the Department of Religious Studies in 1989, with an academic background in systematic theology and spirituality. Besides teaching courses that treat Catholic faith and life, she teaches an interdisciplinary women’s studies course on religion, sex, and gender. Professor Kaminski coordinated the Women's Studies Program from 1992-1995 and 1999-2002; she chaired the Religious Studies Department from 2002 to 2009. She co-edited with Mary Ann Hinsdale, Women and Theology (Orbis Books, 1995). Other publications include "Thinking through the Daughter: Challenges of Feminist Theory and Theology," Themes in Feminist Theology for the Third Millennium I (Villanova University Press, 2002) and "Seeking Transcendence in the Modern World," Darrell Jodock, ed. Catholicism Contending with Modernity (Cambridge University Press, 2000).
