-Basketball – Played Olivet Comets on Thursday, January 27 and won. Upcoming game this Saturday at Alma
-Swimming – Meet Saturday at Hope with Alma. Swam last week against Albion
-Softball—Pre-season started after break. Team was selected last week; 16 girls
-Tennis—Cuts were made recently; team of 10 girls. Games start in February
-Soccer—Attending Pete’s classes
-Volleyball—Attending Pete’s classes as well as open gyms on Saturdays or Sundays for 2 hours
-CC—Attending Regina dance studio for intensity workouts weekly

Community Service Updates
– Talked about getting the basketball hoops/backboards paid for by SGA, but the topic was tabled for the time being
-Athlete appreciation dinner is Tuesday, February 1st
SAAC Board- Sarah and CC team
Diversity Grant Money- Looking at doing Olympic sports clinics at the Coquillard School in South Bend. We would have 2 or 3 dates in which the clinics would be held and athletes need to attend one of the dates.
$800 Substance Abuse- Ideas included having a speaker come in and talk about pre-season habits, alcohol and affects it has on your body, and what athletes should eat on game days.
-Everyone is going to find a speaker idea and email it to Kelley Murphy
-Tennis team buy dinner for team and opponent
SAAC Valentine’s Day Party is February 13th at 12:30 to 3
-Committee Members are: Kristi, Keely, and some CC girls
-Attendance is required for all fall sport athletes
