Belles Drop Tough 3-2 Decision to Brits
NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's soccer team was dealt a tough 3-2 loss by Albion on Friday night.
Keely Noonan notched the first goal of her collegiate career as she scored in the sixth minute to give Saint Mary's a quick 1-0 lead. Albion responded with two goals in the first half and one in the opening minutes of the second half to go up 3-1. Saint Mary's made things interesting when Mollie Valencia scored with just under three minutes remaining, but the Belles ran out of time to make the comeback.
Caitlin Walsh had four saves in the loss while Kristen Nelson also notched a save for the Belles.
Saint Mary's will travel to Marian University (Ind.) for a contest against the Knights on Sunday afternoon.
