Belles Bow to #12 Knights
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. - The Saint Mary's soccer team fell to #12 nationally-ranked Calvin by a 3-0 score on Wednesday afternoon.
The Knights notched a pair of goals in the 27th and 28th minutes as Jillian Honderd and Elaine Schnabel each tallied a goal and assist on the only goals of the first half.
The pair would connect for the third goal and final as they accounted for all of the offense on the afternoon.
Ellie Jacques had two shots with one of those shots being on goal for the Belles.
Caitlin Walsh suffered the loss in goal while collecting eight saves. Kristen Nelson finished out the final 23 minutes of play and tallied three saves of her own.
The Belles will continue MIAA play on Saturday when they travel to Alma for a noon match up against the Scots.
