CHICAGO, Ill. - The Saint Mary's lacrosse team broke through for the first two goals of the game and never looked back on their way to a 14-2 win against Illinois Tech on Thursday night.

WHEATON, Ill. - The Saint Mary's softball team lost both ends of a non-conference doubleheader against Wheaton on Thursday evening. The Thunder claimed the opening game by a 9-1 score in five innings before edging out the Belles 4-3 in the nightcap.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's tennis team lost a 9-0 match to No. 14 nationally-ranked Indiana Wesleyan on Wednesday evening.

Kayle Sexton and Sam Setterblad lost an 8-2 match at one doubles, followed shortly by Andrea Fetters and Kaity Venters having the same result at two doubles. Margaret Faller and Maddie Minaudo held tough before falling 8-5 at three doubles.

ELMHURST, Ill. - The Saint Mary's lacrosse team jumped out to a 2-0 lead through the first 9:10 of the game, but a big run by host Elmhurst proved to be too much to overcome as the Belles fell by a 14-5 final on Saturday.

Shannon Weyer came up huge in the opening minutes against the Blue Jays. The sophomore goalkeeper saved the first four shots she faced, including a pair of 8-meter shots, to keep the momentum in favor of the Belles as the game remained scoreless through the opening seven minutes of play.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - The Saint Mary's tennis team claimed a 6-3 MIAA win over Alma on Saturday afternoon.

The Belles took a 2-1 lead through the completion of doubles play. Shannon Elliott and Andrea Fetters were 8-2 winners at two doubles while Sam Setterblad and Maddie Minaudo won an 8-3 match at three doubles. Kayle Sexton and Margaret Faller were narrowly defeated by an 8-6 score at one doubles.

March 17, 2015 (Notre Dame, Ind.)—The Saint Mary’s College Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced that Ken Nuber joins the College as the head coach of the varsity soccer program. Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Nuber brings a wealth of experience and success as he becomes the thirteenth coach of the soccer program at Saint Mary’s.

FREELAND, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Saint Mary’s catcher/designated player Jillian Busfield its Position Player of the Week and Saint Mary’s righthander Sarah Burke its Pitcher of the Week in softball for games played through March 15.

Angela Athletic Facility at Saint Mary's College was filled with more than 150 female athletes on a recent Friday night, but it wasn't just the usual suspects. Athletes between the ages of six and 12 took over the gym as the women's college hosted its first annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day Clinic.

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga. - The Saint Mary's golf team finished in fifteenth place at the Jekyll Island Collegiate Invitational. The Belles shot their lowest round of the tournament on Sunday with a 340 to finish with a three-day score of 1042.

Defending national champion Rhodes won the tournament with a three-day score of 943 after turning in a 306 on Sunday. Claremont Mudd Scripps and New York University shared second place with scores of 958.
