Belles Defeat Fighting Saints

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Saint Mary's tennis team took little time to claim a 9-0 win over St. Francis (Ill.) on Wednesday.

Leading the way yet again was the tandem of Jillian Hurley and Mary Therese Lee at #2 doubles.  The pair took the most decisive win of the doubles portion of the match with an 8-1 victory.

In the singles competitions, Jessica Kosinski did not surrender a single game en route to the 6-0, 6-0 win at #3 singles.  Jillian Hurley and Franca Peluso both won in straight sets as well.  Camille Gebert, Mary Therese Lee, and Kate Grabarek had to battle with their counterparts, but each eventually prevailed as the Belles earned their second 9-0 win of their Spring Break trip.

Saint Mary's (6-2) will have a break on Thursday and will conclude competition on their trip on Friday when they face #20 (ITA) nationally ranked Wheaton (Ill.) at noon.
