Belles Defeated by Red Devils
ORLANDO, Fla. - The Saint Mary's tennis team suffered a 7-2 loss to Dickinson College in the first match of their spring break trip on Sunday.
Picking up wins for the Belles were senior Jessica Kosinski and freshman Mary Catherine Faller. After a close 6-4 opening set, Kosinski ran away with the match with a 6-1 score in the second set. Faller had more of a battle as she came back from a 6-3 loss in the opening set to take the next two sets by 6-2, 6-1 decisions.
Jillian Hurley and Mary Therese Lee were on the wrong side of two closely-played matches as Hurley fell 7-6 (11-9) and 6-4 while Lee fell by 7-5, 7-6 (7-4) scores. In doubles, two of the three Saint Mary's duos fell by 8-6 scores.
The Belles will look to bounce back as they take on Carthage at noon on Monday.
