Volleyball - Kuschel Named Head Volleyball Coach

NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Saint Mary’s College Department of Athletics and Recreation has announced that Toni Kuschel will take over the reigns as the head coach of the varsity volleyball program at the College.

Volleyball - Slupczynski, Kurczak Earn All-MIAA Honors (November 11)

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association announced their All-MIAA teams Monday evening. Among the honorees were Saint Mary’s College junior Lorna Slupczynski and senior Cathy Kurczak.

Volleyball - Bulldogs End Belles' Season (November 4)

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Saint Mary's College volleyball team had their season ended by the visiting Adrian College Bulldogs on Tuesday night in the first round of the MIAA Tournament by a 3-1 (21-25, 25-22, 25-21, 25-29) margin.

ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Trine University Thunder took an MIAA match from the Saint Mary's volleyball team in straight sets (25-22, 25-22, 25-21) on Wednesday evening.

Volleyball - Slupczynski Reaches Milestone, Belles Battle Past Brits (October 23)

ALBION, Mich. -- Lorna Slupczynski surpassed the 1,000 kill and 1,000 dig marks for her career, and the Saint Mary's College volleyball team battled back from a 2-0 deficit to defeat Albion College, 3-2 (20-25, 20-25, 25-23, 25-15, 15-9).

KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- Kaela Hellmann had a stellar night as the Saint Mary's College volleyball team handed Kalamazoo College a 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 24-26, 25-22) defeat on Wednesday evening.

Volleyball - Belles Take Third at MIT Invitational (October 18)

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. -- The Saint Mary's College volleyball team finished in third at the MIT Invitational with a 2-1 record on the day.

Volleyball - #17 Knights Out-duel Belles (October 14)

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The visiting #17 Calvin College Knights edged out the Belles in each set of a 3-0 (25-19, 25-22, 25-21) decision on senior recognition night on Tuesday.

ROYAL OAK, Mich. -- Meg Rose was named the MIAA's Specialty Player of the Week for her strong play in league matches last week.

Volleyball - Belles Pick Up Two Big Wins at Olivet (October 11)

OLIVET, Mich. -- The Saint Mary's College volleyball team picked up two big MIAA wins as they avenged a loss from earlier in the season against Alma and swept Olivet at Olivet College on Saturday.

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- The Saint Mary's College volleyball team took control of the match early and triumphed with a 3-1 (25-16, 25-14, 26-28, 25-16) win over Trine University on Wednesday evening.

Volleyball - Belles Split at Grand Rapids (September 27)

GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- The Belles fell to #16 Calvin 3-0 before defeating Adrian 3-0 at a triangular hosted by Calvin College on Saturday.

Volleyball - Belles Battle Past Hornets (September 23)

NOTRE DAME, Ind. -- In a battle of sheer determination, the Saint Mary's College volleyball team prevailed over Kalamazoo College 3-1 (14-25, 26-24, 26-24, 25-14) to claim their 10th victory of the season and third MIAA win.

Volleyball - Belles Claim Third at Tiger Invitational (September 20)

GREENCASTLE, Ind. -  Saint Mary's won matches over Anderson (17-25 25-16 25-17 23-25 15-13) and Gallaudet (25-10, 25-21, 20-25, 15-25, 15-7) to take third at the DePauw University Tiger Invitational.

Volleyball - Saint Mary's Splits Day One at DePauw (September 19)

GREENCASTLE, Ind. - The Belles defeated North Central College in the opening match of the DePauw Tiger Invitational, but lost to the host squad on Friday.

Volleyball - Belles Bounce Britons (September 17)

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Lorna Slupczynski had 16 kills, three service aces, and 28 digs as the Belles defeated Albion 3-1 (25-23, 23-25, 25-11, 25-17). 

Volleyball - Belles Soar Past Comets

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Kaela Hellmann had 12 kills, 12 digs, a solo block, and four block assists to help lead the Belles over Olivet College, 3-0 (25-9, 25-16, 25-21).  

Volleyball - Belles Grounded by Flying Dutch (September 9) 

HOLLAND, Mich. - Lorna Slupczynski had nine kills and nine digs while Meg Rose added 10 digs as the Belles fell to the AVCA #17 Hope College Flying Dutch, 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-12).  

Volleyball - Belles Battle Past Bethel in Nail-biter (September 4)

MISHAWAKA, Ind. - The Saint Mary's College volleyball team was not going to let history repeat itself as it had for the past 14 years against cross-town rival Bethel College as they took the hard-fought 3-2 win (25-22, 15-25, 12-25, 25-15, 18-16).


Volleyball - Belles Drop MIAA-Opener to Bulldogs (September 2)

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Kaela Hellmann had 10 kills and 11 digs, but it was not enough as the Belles fell in their first MIAA match of the season to Adrian College, 3-0 (25-15, 25-22, 25-18).

Volleyball - Sunday Split for Belles at Thomas More (August 31)

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - Lorna Slupczynski and Cathy Kurczak earn All-Tournament Team honors as the Belles split on day two at the Thomas More Invitational. After dropping their opening match of the day in five sets to Penn State - Behrend, the Saint Mary's volleyball team swept straight sets from Kenyon College to finish 3-1 on the weekend.

Volleyball - Belles Take Two Wins in Day One at Thomas More (August 30)

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – The Belles had a very balanced attack as they picked up wins over Spalding University (25-23, 23-25, 26-24, 25-20) and Earlham College (25-17, 25-14, 25-13) in the first day of competition at the Thomas More Invitational on Saturday.
