Belles Drop Pair of Non-Conference Matches

ANDERSON, Ind. - The Saint Mary's College volleyball team fell in a pair of non-conference matches at Anderson University on Saturday.

The Belles fell 3-0 (25-21, 25-23, 25-18) to Transylvania before losing 3-0 (25-17, 25-20, 25-16) to host Anderson.

Lorna Slucpzynski had 19 kills, 13 digs, and a pair of blocks in the two matches to help pace the Belles.  Andrea Sasgen had 10 kills, two blocks, and two aces against Transylvania and added four more blocks against Anderson.  Danie Brink, meanwhile, notched 32 assists on the day for Saint Mary's.

The Belles will return to MIAA play this week as they face Calvin College on Tuesday, October 6 at 7:00 p.m. for the Saint Mary's Dig for the Cure match.
