Belles Sweep Past Spartans

NORTH MANCHESTER, Ind. - The Saint Mary's College volleyball team picked up their second consecutive 3-0 win with a 25-23, 25-15, 25-22 decision over the Manchester College Spartans on Thursday evening.

Stephanie Bodien had an impressive evening as the freshman had 12 kills in 18 attempts with just three errors for a .500 attacking percentage. She also added three block assists in the win.

Andrea Sasgen also had 12 kills in the win while Lorna Slupczynski had 10 kills and 15 digs to help pace the Belles. Liana Rohr had 14 assists in the first set before Danie Brink came in for the second and third sets to add 29 assists. Meghann Rose, meanwhile, led the way with 16 digs.

The Belles will pick up with MIAA play again on Saturday as they travel to Albion College for a 1:00 p.m. match against the Britons.
