FT. MYERS – The Saint Mary’s softball team pounded out a combined 26 hits while scoring 31 runs in posting a 12-1 win over Curry before stopping Nichols 19-0 Monday afternoon.

In the 12-1 win over Curry the Belles were led by a host of players. Cathy Kurczak went 3-for-3 with two runs scored and two RBI’s while Sarah Miesle added a 2-for-3 performance with a three run, four RBI effort. Ashley Peterson, Calli Davison and McKenna Corrigan also knocked out two hits each.

Calli Davison struck four and allowed two hits in the five inning contest.

During the second game of the day against Nichols, Kristin Amram struck out nine and tossed a no-hitter in a game that went five innings. It is the second no-hitter of her career and just the fifth in Saint Mary’s history.

Amram also had a stellar day at the plate going 2-for-4 with two runs scored while driving in two more. Ashley Fusaro aided in the offensive effort going 2-for-5 with three runs scored and two RBI’s.
