Belles hire Beechy as new softball coach (July 20)
Kristi Beechy has been pegged to lead the softball program in the defense of their 2004 MIAA Tournament Championship. Arriving at Saint Mary's from Siena Heights University (Mich.) she will begin her duties as head coach after running the summer softball camp at the College...press release

BELLES WIN 2004 MIAA TOURNAMENT
Saint Mary's College entered the tournament seeded #3 but beat #2 Calvin College in round one to move into the championship bracket, then beat top seed and #3 in the country Alma College to move into Saturday's Championship Game! After an Alma victory over Hope to win back the opportunity to play Saint Mary's, Alma beat the Belles to force a final, deciding game which Saint Mary's took by a 3-1 score to claim their first MIAA Tournament Title!!!

Belles clean up in post-season MIAA honors (May 4)
The Saint Mary's softball program nearly swept the individual awards bringing home Offensive MVP, Defensive MVP and Coaching Staff of the Year awards ...two Belles earn All-MIAA 1st Team, two more earn 2nd Team, and five earn Coaches Honorable Mention

Belles earn final Player-of-the-Week honors (May 4) 
Erin Sullivan went 5-12 with 2 RBI in the conference tournament over the weekend to earn a share of the Player-of-the-Week honors...Kate Sajewich had two wins and one save for the Belles at the tournament and was named Pitcher-of-the-Week

Belles and Calvin to meet in postseason (Apr. 28) 
The Belles' wishes have come true and the team now prepares to take on Calvin in the first round of the upcoming MIAA tournament.
After Albion and Hope split a doubleheader Saturday, Saint Mary's locked up third place in the conference. The double elimination postseason tournament begins this Friday at 11 a.m.
Sullivan wins MIAA Batting Title (Apr. 24) 
Erin Sullivan had to wait until the conclusion of all league games on Saturday, but she now knows that she's won the 2004 MIAA batting crown with a .455 average. Erin also led the league in hits, was second in total bases and on-base percentage, was tied for second in doubles in the season, and ranked third in slugging percentage...MIAA link...official press release
