A Lipke lay-up with 10:51 left in the first half gave Saint Mary’s an 18-8 lead and the Belles (10-11, 9-5 MIAA) held a lead of at least four points the rest of the first period in holding a 32-22 edge at halftime.

Kalamazoo come out of the locker room with the hot hand and cut their deficit to 38-37 with 14:15 remaining. Over the next 8:43 the Belles pushed their lead to a seemingly comfortable 58-46 lead.
