Saint Mary's Students are responsible for checking their computer to make sure it is compatible with the software they purchase through the Microsoft Campus Agreement. The software requirements are listed below.

    Microsoft offers a Windows Vista Upgrade Advisor (also listed below) students can download and run on their computers to make sure they are capable of running Windows Vista Ultimate Edition, the Windows Vista operating system that is offered through the Microsoft Campus Agreement. (ResNet recommends purchasing a computer that has Windows Vista Ultimate Edition or Business Edition already installed on it to ensure compatibility.)

    Windows Vista Ultimate Edition Upgrade

      At least 1GHz processor
      At least 1GB RAM
      At least 40GB hard drive
      At least 15GB free space on hard drive
      At least 128MB graphics card
      Ability to read DVDs
      A previous version of Windows installed on the computer

    Office 2007 for Windows

      At least 500MHz processor
      At least 1GB RAM
      At least 2GB free space on hard drive
      Ability to read CDs or DVDs
      Windows XP with SP2 or Windows Vista installed on the computer

    Office 2008 for Mac OS X

      At least 500MHz G4, G5, or Intel processor
      At least 1GB RAM
      At least 1.5GB free space on hard drive
      Ability to read DVDs
      Mac OS X version 10.4.9 or later
