Instructions for connecting your new computer to ResNet (popularly referred to as the "Purple Packet") are available in the ResNet Office.

During the beginning of the academic year, there are also copies of the instructions available in the Trumper Computer Center. Incoming students will receive a Purple Packet in their residence hall room when they arrive on campus in the fall for orientation.

You can also use any networked computer on campus (such as the ones provided in the computer clusters) and visit the ResNet web site (http://www.saintmarys.edu/~resnet) to obtain the connection instructions. Click on the appropriate link for the type of computer you are bringing to campus - "Macintosh Connection Information" or "Windows Connection Information." Then click on the appropriate link for your computer's operating system to download a copy of the instructions, which you can print out if you wish.

If you are having problems connecting your computer to ResNet, please complete a ResNet Problem Report Form at http://fixit.saintmarys.edu and a Residential Computer Consultant (RCC) will contact you for an appointment.
