Belles Take Down Battling Bishops

• The Belles won all three doubles flights.
• Saint Mary's picked up four of the six singles matches.
• Sam Setterblad helped the Belles' cause with a marathon win at four singles.

KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Saint Mary's tennis team won all three doubles flights and claimed four of the six singles matches to defeat Ohio Wesleyan 7-2.

Andrea Fetters and Kaity Venters were dominant in an 8-1 win at three doubles. Sam Setterblad and Monica Davy were 8-4 winners at one doubles, and Margaret Faller and Maddie Minaudo earned a matching 8-4 win at two doubles for the Belles.

Maddie Minaudo earned a 6-3, 6-0 win at five singles while Elizabeth Preister earned a straight-set 6-4, 6-3 decision at six singles to help lift the Belles to the win. Monica Davy fought off her counterpart for a 6-3, 7-6 (10-5) two singles victory. Sam Setterblad prevailed in a marathon match at four singles with a 6-7 (5-10), 6-3, 1-0 (11-9) win. Andrea Fetters lost a 6-0, 6-2 match at one singles. Margaret Faller had a tough time at three singles in a 6-0, 6-0 final

The Belles (5-2) are off from competition tomorrow and wrap up their spring break trip to Florida on Friday with an 11:00 a.m. match against Bryn Mawr.
