Belles Blank Thunder

ANGOLA, Ind. - For the tenth consecutive season, the Saint Mary's tennis team has won at least ten matches as the Belles defeated in-state rival Trine by a 9-0 margin on Tuesday afternoon.

Maddie Minaduo and Margaret Faller took an 8-2 victory at two doubles. Monica Davy and Sam Setterblad were 8-3 winners at one doubles, and Kaity Venters and Andrea Fetters gave Saint Mary's the 3-0 lead through doubles with an 8-5 victory at the third flight.

Minaudo then went on to claim a 6-0, 6-0 win at four singles for the Belles. Elizabeth Preister hardly missed a beat with a 6-1, 6-0 decision at six singles. Margaret Faller was a 6-2, 6-0 winner at three singles. Kaity Venters took a 6-0, 6-2 win at five singles. Monica Davy was on the top side of a 6-3, 6-0 final at two singles. Andrea Fetters won a 6-3, 6-1 match at one singles to cap off the Belles' win.

The Belles (10-4, 2-1 MIAA) are set to make up their match from earlier this season against Bethel when they host the Pilots on Thursday, April 14 at 4:00 p.m.
