Belles Tied for Third at Carthage Shootout on the Border

BRISTOL, Wis. - The Saint Mary's golf team shot a 332 and holds a share of third place at the Carthage Shootout on the Border.

Wisconsin-Whitewater leads the field of 14 teams after posting a 328. Illinois Wesleyan sits in second with a 330. The Belles are tied with host Carthage as the pair both turned in scored of 332.

Summer Stillson was tied for the best round of the day and the overall lead at the tournament with a five-over par 77 on Friday. Hunter Kehoe is tied for sixth place in a field of over 90 golfers after posting an 81. Sydney Hruskoci carded an 85 to hold a share of 18th place. Lauren Read wrapped up the team score with an 89 and is in a tie for 29th place in the field. Taylor Kehoe was the fifth golfer in the Saint Mary's lineup and shot a 90 to take a share of 41st place after day one.

Maggie Sexton and Hannah Finley are competing as individuals in the tournament. Sexton posted an 89 and is tied for 29th. Finley shot a round of 91 and is tied for 44th overall.

Day two of the tournament begins at 9:00 a.m. CDT on Saturday at Bristol Oaks Country Club.
