Belles Downed by Flying Dutch

HOLLAND, Mich. - The Saint Mary's tennis team lost an 8-1 MIAA match against league-leading Hope on Saturday.

Margaret Faller and Shannon Elliott teamed up to win their number two doubles match by an 8-3 margin. Audrey Kiefer and Jackie Kjolhede stayed competitive before falling 8-4 in their number three doubles contest.

Faller had the closest singles match of the day as she was narrowly edged out in straight sets by 7-5, 6-4 scores. Jackie Kjolhede battled before dropping her number five singles match 7-5, 6-2.

The Belles (9-6, 4-2 MIAA) host North Central College on Monday for a 4:00 p.m. non-conference match.
