Belles Topped by Regionally-Ranked Vikings

• Augustana is ranked No. 15 in the Central Region by the ITA.
• Andrea Fetters and Kaity Venters lost in a tiebreaker 9-8 (7-3) at three doubles.
• Maddie Minaudo lost 7-5, 6-4 at five singles.

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The Saint Mary's tennis team lost 9-0 to regionally-ranked Augustana on Saturday afternoon.

Andrea Fetters and Kaity Venters had the tightest match of the day at three doubles as the pair lost in a tiebreaker 9-8 (7-3). Margaret Faller and Maddie Minaudo fell 8-3 at two doubles. Monica Davy and Sam Setterblad were on the wrong side of an 8-0 final at one doubles.

Maddie Minaudo had the closest of the singles results for the Belles. The sophomore lost 7-5, 6-4 at five singles. Monica Davy and Kaity Venters fell by 6-2, 6-2 scores at two and six singles, respectively. Margaret Faller and Sam Setterblad were on the short ends of 6-1, 6-3 finals at three and four singles. Andrea Fetters fell by a 6-3, 6-2 margin at one singles.

The Belles (6-3) will look to bounce back on Wednesday when they host Concordia University Ann Arbor at 4:00 p.m.
