Saint Mary's College Music Department will welcome high school choirs from Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, and Wisconsin, as well as local choirs. Each choir will perform three or four pieces and receive written evaluations from commentators. “The commentators will work with the students and give them pointers on how to improve their singing,” Dr. Nancy Menk said. “The high school choirs will receive both written comments as well as an open clinic.”

      THIS YEAR’S COMMENTATORS ARE:

      Director of Choral Activities
      Northern Michigan University
      Marquette, MI

      Mark Doerries
Head of the Graduate Choral Conducting Program

Artistic Director, Notre Dame Children’s Choir
      Notre Dame, IN

      Jeanette MacCallum

Performances begin at 9 am. Choirs will perform for each other during the morning and afternoon sessions. The day also includes a tour of the campus and a performance by the Saint Mary’s Belles Voix.

Admission is free and open to the public. Come enjoy a full day of music with these talented local choirs!
