PACE Center
100% of our students participate in at least one professional preparation experience
94% of graduates are employed full-time, enrolled in graduate school, or engaged in other full-time activity within one year of graduation
92% of our graduating class finish their degree in four years
Because our faculty rise to the occasion, so do our students.

Nothing replaces a direct connection to talented faculty. That’s why our classes are small and taught only by professors. In this environment, students are highly engaged in discussions, involved in comprehensive research, and are encouraged to ask questions. Coupled with our unique curriculum-to-career program, The Avenue Experience, we ensure every student receives professional mentoring, skill building, and internships to enrich their academic journey. Students will graduate well prepared for a lifetime of meaningful success.

The Legacy Continues: A Parent's Perspective

At Saint Mary’s, we understand that you’re investing in your daughter’s future. It’s a responsibility we don’t take lightly. It’s why we put great emphasis on small class size and access to work directly with faculty. It’s why all of our students do original research or bodies of work. And it’s why we foster an environment for her to succeed – both in the classroom and in the field she’ll soon pursue. We measure our impact and our value by the ultimate success of our students. From the moment she arrives, she’ll feel the support of those around her. It’s why our graduates say they would choose Saint Mary’s again and send their own daughter if they have the chance.

Success After Saint Mary's

Our alumnae are researchers, engineers, artists, activists, judges, and captains of industry. Each is a leader in their field who discovered and developed their unique skills right here. We connect, inspire, and empower our students, not only in the classroom, but even after they graduate and join our network of alumnae. We offer our students a lifetime of support - in fact, access to our Career Crossings Office never expires.

Catherine is a member of the Class of 2018, where she majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Currently, she is pursuing her Ph.D. in Biological Sciences at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA.

"As an undergraduate, I participated in many extracurricular activities as a 4-year member of the Dance Team and Tri-Captain, an advocate for research opportunities leading to the creation of SCORE, and an active member of the Biology Department. I have been involved in different research projects, including ongoing research at the University of Notre Dame. As a result, I have learned many valuable lab techniques, while gaining troubleshooting and data analysis skills in which I have found a great passion for scientific inquiry."

Hear from students and alumnae:

“Mentoring relationships and networking is critical throughout our lifespan, and Saint Mary’s students are no exception. Many of our students find great value in developing relationships with alumnae to learn about their professional lives. Then, as an alumna, students truly enjoy hearing what you are doing—and the path that led you to where you are today.”
