Employee Assistance Program
The College recognizes the seriousness of stress, personal problems, family issues and their effects on the lives and productivity of our employees. We further recognize that these are frequent problems that can be solved through short-term help from professionals. Through the New Avenues EAP, you and your immediate family members may take advantage of confidential counseling services. To assist our employees and their immediate family members, Saint Mary’s College has pre-paid for 5 face-to-face visits per family member per contract year at no cost to you.
• Employees will have a wide choice of EAP counselors conveniently located in offices near home or work and visits are completely confidential. The majority of EAP-affiliated counselors also participate with our health plan, so that if additional services are needed, there is very smooth continuity of care.
• New Avenues offers referral help with specialized financial counselors for help with budget, credit card, or debt management problems.
• An Online Work-Life Program has been added. This program offers a great deal of free information online through a web site at www.NewAvenuesOnline.com. Click on “Work-Life Resource Center”. The password is “Saint Marys. You can read articles on family life, health and wellness, use free and confidential health assessment tools, access Web MD™, download simple legal templates, make decisions with the financial calculators, and save household money through coupons on the consumer savings center.
