Saint Mary's College offers three (3) Preferred Provider Option (PPO) health insurance plans to all full-time employees. New hires have a 30-day election period to enroll. Benefits are available on a single or family plan basis. The family plan covers the employee’s spouse and her/his dependent children under the age of 26. If an employee declines coverage upon hire, enrollment can only occur during the annual open enrollment period or in the case of a qualifying event. The health insurance plan operates on our fiscal year (June 1 through May 31), with open enrollment in early May with an effective date of June 1. Effective January 1, 2019, our plan year will transition to a calendar year cycle.
