Saint Mary’s College Named a National Unique Venue
The Office of Campus Experience and Events at Saint Mary’s College was named a 2025 Planner’s Choice Award winner by Unique Venues, a national collective that celebrates outstanding meeting and event destinations.

Recognized in the Small Venue category, Saint Mary’s earned distinction for the versatility of its campus spaces and the exceptional volume and quality of hosted events. Jesse R. Vogel is the director of College’s Campus Hospitality and Event Management. He highlights the investment the College continues to make in its public spaces as a key factor in the recognition, and how that impacts the customer experience.
“Being recognized by Unique Venues affirms what so many of our clients already know,” Vogel said. “Saint Mary’s is a one-of-a-kind destination where meaningful connections happen—whether it’s a wedding, a conference, or a performance.”
Vogel said this past summer, the office hosted over 18 external client events, including eight wedding-related celebrations, 10 single- and multi-day conferences, and five performance events, collectively welcoming nearly 5,500 guests to campus.
Founded in 1986 with the publication of its Guide to Meeting on Campus, Unique Venues connects planners with distinctive event locations across North America. Today, it continues to spotlight exceptional spaces—like Saint Mary’s College—that offer memorable experiences beyond the traditional hotel or convention setting.
