International Education/Modern Languages Week 2024 Plans Announced
The Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL) and the Department of Modern Languages at Saint Mary’s College will host International Education/Modern Languages Week starting on Monday, November 17. The public is invited to attend the events, which include the sharing of study abroad experiences, a showcase of world traditions and cultures, an international panel on the April 2014 democratic election in India, and an offering of foreign films.

High school seniors and their families are invited to attend Fall Day on Campus on Sunday, November 16, 2014. At Fall Day on Campus, you’ll explore campus, take a sample class, learn about financial aid opportunities, talk with faculty, coaches, and current students, and discover the benefits of a Saint Mary's education.

The Cushwa-Leighton Library presents a celebration of Sister M. Madeleva, president of Saint Mary’s from 1934 - 1961. Please join us in our first floor exhibit area to view some rare items and photographs associated with her many years on campus. This exhibit will be on display through October 10, 2014.

Catholicism and Liberal Arts and Sciences Subject of Center for Spirit...
The Center for Spirituality (CFS) at Saint Mary’s College proudly announces the Fall 2014 Endowed Lecture Series titled Unitas, Veritas, Caritas: Catholicism and the Liberal Arts and Sciences. The series is an exploration of the relationship of faith and reason across the disciplines with particular attention to Catholicism's profession that God is love (1 John 4:16). The scholars speaking in this series have degrees in both theology and a second discipline and are uniquely qualified to lead this interdisciplinary exploration. The lectures are free and open to the public.

College's "Status of Girls in Indiana" Report Used as Resource (South ...
When Saint Mary's College debuted the "Status of Girls in Indiana" report, President Carol Ann Mooney said at news conferences that she hoped it would be used by non-profits and legislators as a resource to make a difference for the state's girls. The YWCA used the report's startling statistics on sexual assaults and dating violence to secure a Verizon grant to expand the agency's Teen Dating and Sexual Violence Prevention Program.

Madrigal Dinners, a Christmas Tradition, Festive for Whole Family

Students Celebrate 9th Year for Dance Marathon
On Saturday, April 5, more than 400 students will participate in the 9th annual Saint Mary’s College Dance Marathon. The 12-hour no sitting, no sleeping event has raised more than half a million dollars for Riley Hospital for Children at Indiana University Health since students started holding the event. The community is invited to attend Dance Marathon, which will feature music, games, crafts, and other entertainment.

Alumna Brings Drake University Choirs to Campus (In the Bend)
Aimee Beckmann-Collier '75 will bring the Drake choir and chamber choir to campus at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, March 14 to sing at Church of Our Lady of Loretto. The College hosts the Drake visit every four years as part of Drake's choir tour of the Midwest. Beckmann-Collier received the Distinguished Alumna Award from the Saint Mary's Alumnae Association in 2010. Her choirs will sing with the Penn High School Women's Chorale and Mixed Choir.
