Events will be held on both campuses and include a film screening, a workshop, and a lecture given by South African Bishop Kevin Dowling. Making a Pitch for Women in Baseball (South Bend Tribune) Justine Siegal, founder of Baseball for All, a non-profit organization that advocates that both sexes be allowed to play ball, spoke at the College last night. Her talk is associated with a two month-long exhibit in the Cushwa-Leighton Library called “Women in Baseball.” '89 Alumna Recounts ND Championship Memories (The Observer) Julie Wagner Feasel, a 1989 graduate of Saint Mary’s, recounts the excitement of when Notre Dame played for the national championship when she was a senior. Now her daughter, senior Meghan Feasel, gets to enjoy a similar experience. Julie was able to attend the game and she's hoping Meghan can attend this one. Lecture to Consider Contemporary Feminist Movements Saint Mary's College will host Mary Caputi, professor of political science at California State University, Long Beach, on Thursday, March 1. Caputi will present her lecture, “Warrior Women vs. Ragpickers: Divergent Paths in Contemporary Feminism,” at 7 p.m. in Stapleton Lounge, Le Mans Hall. The event is free and open to the public.
