Future of Religious Life and Young Adult Catholic Women (National Cath...
The Center for Spirituality recently welcomed Sister Sandra Schneiders, IHM, to campus for her lecture titled “The Future of Religious Life”. This article mentions the talk and how the sister and scholar stated during it that "women's ministerial life has a future in this time and beyond."

Fall Choral Concert
On Wednesday, November 16 at 7:30 p.m., the Fall Choral Concert will be held in O’Laughlin Auditorium. The Fall Choral Concert consists of the Saint Mary’s College Women’s Choir, Collegiate Choir and Bellacapella, a student a cappella group.

Saint Mary's College Receives $4.7M Bequest (various media)
Saint Mary's College gratefully announces a gift of $4.7 million from the trust of Marjorie A. Neuhoff ’61. It is the largest bequest in the 167-year history of the College. The gift will be used to establish endowments for a chair in nursing, a need-based scholarship, and the Summer Science Research Communities, all in Ms. Neuhoff’s name. Ms. Neuhoff’s classmates celebrated her gift at the President’s Reception and Dinner for the Class of 1961 on Friday, June 3. The class marked its 50th anniversary as part of Reunion Weekend. International Education/Modern Languages Week Plans Announced
The Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL) and the Department of Modern Languages at Saint Mary’s College will host International Education/Modern Languages Week starting on Monday, November 14. Students, faculty members, and invited guests will participate in various events throughout the week. The public is invited to attend.

Students Organize “Hunger Banquet” to Teach Lessons on Poverty and...
The Hunger Banquet is no ordinary dinner. When students, faculty, and staff walk through the doors, they draw slips of paper that give each of them a role to play. One person could be a millionaire, and another could be a single parent working three jobs and barely able to make rent. The participant’s role determines what and how much food is placed on his or her plate. The banquet gives participants the opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes and discuss issues related to hunger in third-world countries and in the United States.

Saint Mary's Sponsors Holy Cross Harvest for Local Food Bank (The Obse...
The Office for Civic and Social Engagement (OCSE) kicked off the second annual Holy Cross Harvest, a large-scale donation drive to benefit the Northern Indiana Food Bank, this week. "It is important to remember that hunger is very real in our area and many families are struggling. It is our responsibility to act," Carrie Call, OCSE's director, told the student newspaper The Observer.
