SMC Care
Saint Mary’s College has announced a new around-the-clock telehealth service for students. The service, SMC Care, provides free access to medical and mental telehealth care for all undergraduate students whether they live on or off campus, as well graduate assistants who live on campus.

Today, we honor the American labor movement and celebrate the social and economic contributions of workers. We also remember the incredible influx of women into the workforce beginning in 1942 as men were shipped to boot camp, military bases, and overseas combat.

Continuing the Fight For Women's Equality
Since 1973, August 26 has been celebrated as International Women’s Equality Day. Established by Congress, this day honors the achievements of the 19th amendment, which in 1920 gave women the right to vote. As we mark the 100th anniversary, we also recognize that it is not exactly the landmark achievement many people today grew up believing.

A Letter from the President
In a letter to the students of Saint Mary's College, President Katie Conboy urges students to stay on campus. "Let me be clear. Our precious time together on campus is at risk," she writes. "Right now, while we have only three positive cases among the Saint Mary’s College community, we are growing concerned. The trends on other campuses — high infection numbers that are largely due to off-campus activities — are undermining our own campus precautions. We are alarmed by what we are seeing, and it has us on high alert."

Fall Sports Postponed Following MIAA Decision
The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) announced the postponement of conference competition for fall sports for the 2020-21 academic year on July 30 due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The decision was made by the MIAA Presidents' Council on Wednesday evening.
