MIAA Academic Honor Roll 2012

NOTRE DAME, Ind. - Forty individual student-athletes and four teams were honored by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association for their academic performances for the 2011-12 school year.

By virtue of maintaining at least a 3.50 grade point average and earning a varsity letter in one of the College's eight sports, 40 members of the various Saint Mary's teams were named to the MIAA's Academic Honor Roll. Fifteen of the honored student-athletes have been named to conference's honor roll multiple times in their careers while 12 first year student-athletes were named to the list. Among that list is four-time honoree Joanne Almond. Each varsity team was represented with at least one team member being named to the honor roll this summer.

It is the eleventh consecutive year that at least 40 Saint Mary's student-athletes earned the conference's academic honor.

Each of the College's eight varsity teams had better than a 3.00 GPA in 2011-12.
