36th Annual High School Treble Choir Festival

Thursday & Friday, November 18 & 19

9:30 am.- 4:30 pm

O'Laughlin Auditorium

Saint Mary's College Music Department will welcome high school choirs from Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and Wisconsin as well as local choirs. Each choir will perform three or four pieces and receive written evaluations from commentators. “The commentators will work with the students and give them pointers on how to improve their singing,” Dr. Nancy Menk said. “The high school choirs will receive both written comments as well as an open clinic.”

This year’s commentators are:

Leslie Manfredo, former assistant director of choral activities at Illinois State University, and current adjunct professor at Roosevelt University

Phillip Swan, co-director of choral studies and conductor of Cantala at Lawrence University, Appleton, WI.

Choirs will perform for each other during the morning and afternoon sessions. The day also includes a tour of the campus and a performance by the Saint Mary’s College Women’s Choir.

Admission is free and open to the public. Come enjoy a full day of music with these talented local choirs!

Masks are required.
