Sixty-two Belles Earn MIAA Academic Honor Roll Accolades

FREELAND, Mich. - For the second consecutive year, a record number of Saint Mary's student-athletes have earned Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Academic Honor Roll recognition. Sixty-two student-athletes were honored by the MIAA for their scholastic performances during the 2016-17 academic year. That total tops last year's record of 57 Saint Mary's student-athletes on the list.

In order to earn the MIAA Academic Honor Roll distinction, a student-athlete must maintain at least a 3.5 cumulative grade point average for the entire academic year while earning a varsity letter in a conference-sponsored sport. More than 1,240 student-athletes conference-wide were on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll this year.

On that list were four Belles who had earned the honor roll distinction in each of their four years at Saint Mary's. Brittany Beeler, Kathryn Marshall, Maggie Pacana, and Katlynn Dee were four-year MIAA Academic Honor Roll honorees.
