Belles Tied for Third in Women's Sports Standings

FREELAND, Mich. - The fall standings for both the men's and women's all-sports standings were released by the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association office this week. Saint Mary's is tied with Alma for third in the women's sports standings after the completion of the fall sports season.

Led by the golf team's third place finish in the final league standings, the four fall Belles teams all finished between third and seventh place. Each school then earns points based on standings with conference champions claiming nine points, second place teams earning eight points, etc. The Belles had 20.5 points with the half point coming from a tie in the final volleyball standings.

The next update for the all-sports standings will be released after the completion of winter sports seasons.
