Mahoney Tabbed as MIAA Player of the Week

ROYAL OAK, Mich. – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Saint Mary's guard Patsy Mahoney its Player of the Week in women's basketball for games played through February 4.

Mahoney, a senior from Nashville, Tenn. (Pope John Paul II HS), averaged 20 points and 4.5 assists in leading the Belles to two MIAA victories. She had 11 points and seven assists in a 70-62 win over Albion and a career-high 29 points in leading the Belles to a 59-55 victory over Olivet. Mahoney made 9 of 17 shots from the field (53 percent) and 21 of 27 from the free-throw line (78 percent) for the week.

It is the second time this season and in her career that she has been named the conference's player of the week.
