Mahoney Earns MIAA Player of the Week Honor

 
ROYAL OAK, Mich.  – The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Saint Mary’s guard Patsy Mahoney its Player of the Week in women’s basketball for games played through November 27.

Mahoney, a senior from Nashville, Tenn. (Pope John Paul II HS), averaged 19.7 points, 5.3 assists and 2.7 steals in three games for the Belles last week. She scored 21 points and added five assists in a 77-57 victory over Anderson, Ind., and had 20 points and six assists in a 68-64 loss to Ohio Northern. Mahoney made 54 percent of shots (20 of 37) from the field and 44 percent of her 3-point tries (8 of 18).

It is the first time in her career that she is being honored as the MIAA Player of the Week.
