Belles Finish Sixth at Wabash Hokum Karem

CRAWFORDSVILLE, Ind. - The Saint Mary's cross country team finished sixth at the 50th Wabash Hokum Karem race on a very rainy Saturday.

Division II University of Indianapolis won the event with a score of 13 while the Belles turned in a score of 44 in the tandem-style race.

The duo of Emma Baker and Jessica Biek finished first for the Belles by taking 13th place overall in a time of 24:50. Elizabeth Majewski and Sarah Copi finished 17th overall in 25:20, and Angela Nebesny and Julia Kenney posted a time just seven seconds behind for 21st overall (25:27) to wrap up the team scoring.

Allie Danhof and Sarah Lipinski finished 28th (26:00), Colette Curtis and Dani Haydell were 32nd (26:18), Samee Chittenden and Katelyn Dunn took 34th (26:34), and Clarisa Medina and Miranda Bronicki finished 44th (28:30) for the Belles.

The Belles will be back in action next Saturday when they travel to Grand Rapids, Michigan for the Calvin Invitational.
