Beeler All-Region as Belles Place Eighteenth

HOLLAND, Mich. - Brittany Beeler capped off a stellar career by becoming the program's first three-time All-Region performer as the Saint Mary's cross country team finished eighteenth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional race on Saturday.

No. 17 ranked Calvin won the team title with a score of 90 while No. 26 Allegheny was second with a team score of 120. Fifteenth-ranked Hope was third with a score of 128. Saint Mary's had a team score of 433 for 18th place, 28 points behind 17th place Heidelberg.

Beeler edged out a runner from Calvin at the finish line to finish 15th overall in a time of 22:14.9. Her time was the second-fastest 6k time by a Belle at an NCAA Regional event and garnered the senior co-captain All-Region honors for the third consecutive season.

Adele Edmonds turned in a personal record time of 23:50.5 to earn 79 points toward the team total while finishing 81st overall. Anna McClowry was 100th and earned 98 points while running a 24:11.8 for the Belles. Maura Honan shaved more than 30 seconds off of her previous-best 6k time this season with a 24:26.7. The time placed the freshman 116th overall and put 112 points toward the team score. Kaitlyn Alessi wrapped up the team score with a time of 24:36.0 for 133rd overall and 129 team points.

Caitlin Blum and Katie Glenn also competed for the Belles on Saturday. Blum placed 143rd in a time of 24:49.2. Glenn was 159th with a 25:06.5.

The race was the second-fastest team performance (23:52 average) for the Belles' top five this fall trailing only the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble (23:36 average)
