Kelly KivlandJoin us as Ian Weaver moderates a webinar with Kelly Kivland, Curator at Dia Art Foundation. Since 2011 Kelly has realized exhibitions and projects including Maren Hassinger (2021); Joan Jonas (2021); Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme’s May amnesia never kiss us on the mouth (2020-); Carl Craig’s Party/After-Party (2020); Joëlle Tuerlinckx's THAT'S IT! (2019); Nancy Holt (2018); Cecilia Bengolea & François Chaignaud (2018); Isabel Lewis’ Occasions (2016), Steve Paxton’s Selected Works (2014), and served as assistant curator for Thomas Hirschhorn’s Gramsci Monument (2013). At Dia, she also oversees the stewardship of Robert Smithson’s Spiral Jetty (1970) and Nancy Holt’s Sun Tunnels (1973-76); and curates the Artists on Artists lecture series as well as the Artist Web Projects series that has involved commissions by Abbas and Abou-Rahme, Laylah Ali, Daniel Lefcourt, and Nick Mauss and Ken Okiishi. Prior to joining Dia, she served in the Commissioner’s Office at the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs and at Pomegranate Arts, a performing arts organization dedicated to the production of contemporary performance. She holds a master’s degree from the Center for Curatorial Studies at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York.
