Become a global citizen by surrounding yourself with people from a wide range of interests, backgrounds, cultures, socioeconomic circumstances, languages, and religions. At Saint Mary’s, you will find a diverse and global community, a campus rooted in the tradition of responding to the needs of the world; one that champions the differences and highlights the commonalities among us.

Saint Mary's College creates a welcoming, inclusive, and safe environment for our multicultural student body. This commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion results in a learning environment for you to succeed in an increasingly diverse and global society. Dozens of clubs and organizations provide opportunities for involvement and student leadership on campus, including the Student Diversity Board.
The Office for Student Equity recognizes our socioeconomically diverse community, and empowers students to achieve their full potential by providing services and programming to assist with any gaps in resources. The LGBTQ+ Center provides an inclusive environment for all students to experience acceptance, and feel empowered to engage in the campus culture as a valued member. Multicultural services and other student programs expand SMC's commitment to meeting the needs of our diverse student population.
A hallmark of your education at Saint Mary’s is the opportunity for international study. Here you have the opportunity to expand your perspective by exploring the world. Experience a different culture, try new things, and gain your independence.
Academic programs in global education and languages provide intercultural competence and social responsibility. At the Center for Women’s Intercultural Leadership (CWIL) we educate and empower women to be leaders in their local and global communities. A signature program at Saint Mary’s—the Global Women’s Leadership SUSI Institute—brings undergraduate women from around the world to our campus each summer.
Each year, many international students make Saint Mary’s their chosen home. Through their lens, all students can widen their perspective and develop global awareness.
