We empower every student to lead and succeed. In keeping with our history of opening access to education for women, we are committed to ensuring that same access to a Saint Mary’s education regardless of your race, religion, or socioeconomic background.

We want every student who wants to come to Saint Mary’s to afford an education here. That’s why 100% of our incoming students receive scholarships or grants.

All Are Welcome

At Saint Mary’s, we know we are made stronger through our differences.

The Division for Inclusion and Equity is dedicated to educating and empowering the Saint Mary’s community by providing resources, spaces and support so every student has what they need to feel safe and successful. Our work to create a fair and welcoming environment on campus extends the College mission to empower students through education, community, spirituality, and a commitment to justice.

Through our people and our programs, we serve in making sure all students are ‘seen,’ connecting students to what they need and ensure.

An Avenue For Everyone

Students succeed when they know they belong and matter.
This is the promise of our new, multi-year student experience, Avenue: to create a campus community through shared, small group work in and out of the classroom while applying a lens of equity and inclusion to all of that collaboration—in the classroom and in the community. The Avenue experience focuses on developing every student’s capacity to advocate for themselves and others, so they are prepared to bring just leadership into their personal and professional lives after graduation.

Saint Mary’s Emergency Fund

Not everything goes as planned. When unexpected expenses arise due to an emergency or an unforeseen need, the Saint Mary’s Emergency Fund is available to help. Managed through the Office for Student Equity, these one-time grants can be used for a range of items from technology such as a laptop or charger, commencement regalia, or emergency travel funds. One hundred percent of our students are financially supported. Those worries can be eliminated and they can focus on the learning experience and be ready to challenge themselves that way. – Provost and Senior Vice President Barb May, Ph.D.
