Belles Tied for Second at Anderson Invitational

ANDERSON, Ind. - The 15th ranked (Golf World/NGCA Division III women's preseason coaches' poll) Saint Mary's golf team is tied with conference rival No. 24 Olivet for second place after day one of the Anderson University Invitational.

Second ranked DePauw leads the field after a 303 on the first of two days of competition. The Belles and the Comets turned in matching 323 scores.

Amanda Graham turned in the best round of the day for the Belles with a 76. Claire Boyle was just four shots behind with an 80. Janice Heffernan shot an 83 for the Belles while Justine Bresnahan and Sammie Averill both shot rounds of 84 for Saint Mary's.

Paige Pollak shot an 80 as an individual.

The two-day tournament is slated to conclude tomorrow as the Belles are set to tee off at 1:00 p.m.
