Belles Finish Second at Final Round

MARSHALL, Mich. - The Saint Mary's golf team finished second at the final MIAA NCAA Qualifying round at the Medalist Golf Club in Michigan.

The Belles shot a 335. Olivet clinched the conference's automatic qualifying bid after a 322 round on Saturday. Hope finished third in the round with a 340. Olivet's Adrienne Plourde was the medalist with a score of 74.

Paige Pollak led the Belles with a score of 82 to finish in fifth. Janice Heffernan tied for sixth with an 83.

Alexi Bown finished tied for eighth after shooting an 84. Claire Boyle was tied for 11th after a round of 86.

Jessica Kinnick was the Belles' fifth scoring-eligible golfer with a 90 to finish 14th.

Olivet finished the three rounds with a team score of 971 while Saint Mary's finished second with a combined score of 1,048, which was three strokes ahead of Hope. Calvin ended the spring season in fourth with a three-day score of 1,096.
